Ciclo Su Cacao Freddo e Latte Fumè

This work emerges from the encounter between two dark, quiet tonalities, conceived to engage in a subtle and profound dialogue.
In the upper section unfolds a cool cocoa tone—intense and velvety—a restrained color that recalls material surfaces and soft shadows, never becoming dramatic.
Below, a light smoked milk hue, pale and neutral, opens the space, bringing balance and breath.

Between these two fields the cycle takes shape: a circular gesture drawn freehand.
The mark rises from the lighter area and moves toward the darker one, crossing the chromatic boundary like a motion that returns, oscillates, and transforms.
The line is never perfectly closed: it vibrates, overlaps, breaks, and resumes, leaving visible the time of the gesture and its memory.

The cycle does not divide, but connects.
It is the point of contact between density and lightness, between presence and silence.
A fragile equilibrium, always on the edge, renewed with every gaze.

The work is part of the Cycles series, an exploration of repetition, return, and the transformation of gesture over time.
Each piece originates from the same movement, yet manifests differently each time, as happens in inner processes.

The vintage frame, finished in satin black with an inner gold insert, is an integral part of the work.
Its material presence defines a boundary that strengthens the dialogue between color and mark, bringing memory and contemporaneity into relation.

A dark cycle crosses the boundary between cocoa and milk: a silent, slow, necessary return.
